May 21st 2017 9.00AM – 4.00PM
The Rotary Foundation was created in 1917 by Rotary International's sixth president, Arch C. Klumph, as an endowment fund for Rotary "to do good in the world." It has grown from an initial contribution of US$26.50 to more than US $1billion. It has one of the largest and most prestigious international fellowship programs in the world. To celebrate 100 years – we shall be hosting a ride to raise money for the foundation.
The entry fee will be $26.50
Everyone will be provided with a control card at sign on. Route details will be published in advance but the route will be 100km in distance. Everyone must pass through each control point to be eligible for a prize.
Riders will follow the 100km route and complete their control card by answering questions at each control point. If you`ve taken part in a Brevet – this will be a similar format but without the time limits.
Control points will be roughly spaced 20km apart with refreshments and snacks at around the 40km and 80km point.
Following completion of the ride there will be coffee, cake and prizes at the Original Bike Shop in Sapperton.
